Annia Ward

Client Interface & Volunteer Coordinator

Annia joined Nourishing Bethesda in April of 2024. A recent graduate of the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Science, and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation she has begun her professional career as the Client Interface and Volunteer Coordinator. During her time at GWU, she served as the Public Relations and Professional Development chair of ALIANZA, a student organization that promotes sisterhood among Afro-Latinx students where she curated community and fundraising events, and relationships with various stakeholders. As an entrepreneurship minor, Annia had the opportunity to pitch and propose a financial literacy app aimed at supplementing financial education in the American public school system. She also provided direct services to nonprofits in DC as a pro bono consultant with GWU’s Community Engagement Consulting. Her diverse background provides her with the unique perspective to help fulfill Nourishing Bethesda’s mission.

As a Dominican-American and DC native, she is eager to create equitable solutions involving food insecurity in underserved and underrepresented communities. Her passion for social service, and equity fueled her desire to engage in meaningful work post-grad. Annia hopes to implement comprehensive outreach efforts surrounding holistic living, financial education and other topics that expand the value of services provided by Nourishing Bethesda.

Annia is a native Spanish speaker, actively dismantling a language barrier to maximize client outreach and food security.

She is interested in travel, holistic living and wellness, and real estate.

"We deliver more than just food — it's the care that comes along with it, too."
