Tammi Houton

Deputy Director

tammi@nourishingbethesda.org

Tammi has been involved with Nourishing Bethesda from the beginning as an advisor in mid-2020 and joining officially in May 2021. After 20 years in corporate marketing, Tammi stepped back from the career world to focus her time and energies on raising her three daughters.  During that time, she became an active volunteer and leader in a variety of capacities in her daughter’s schools, soccer teams, Girl Scout troops, and Girls on the Run teams.  As her daughters entered their teenage years, she began to focus her energy on issues that she is most passionate about: food insecurity and food waste.  For the past 7 years, she has worked and volunteered with a variety of local nonprofit organizations in that space including Nourishing Bethesda, Community Food Rescue, and Nourish Now, and is currently serving as a Board Director for the Columbia Foundation at Columbia Country Club. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Communications from the University of Arizona.
